The first edition of Taking the Mystery Out of Land Records came out in 2006 and the 2nd edition came out in 2008. The book has been out of print since 2010.

In response to the number of requests for a book from people attending my seminars, I decided it was time to re-print the book. However, so much has changed the first two editions are sadly out of date.

Since 2008 the availability of land records on the web and in printed form has grown tremendously-as has the number of family historians using them. What started as a simple update turned into almost a complete re-write. If you own either of the first two editions and use the book as a reference you might want to think about buying this edition - if for nothing more than the State by State information.
